URPC Competition: Man-Machine Cooperative Grabbing and Autonomous Grabbing
The 2019 Underwater Vehicle Target Grabbing Competition is co-sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation Committee and the Dalian Municipal People's Government. It will be hosted by Dalian University of Technology, Dalian Science and Technology Bureau, Jinpu New District Management Committee, Pengcheng Laboratory, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Changhai County People's Government,it will be held in Dalian from August 22 to 28th ,2019.
"Underwater Vehicle Target Grabbing Competition" is an important funding direction and strategic deployment of the National Natural Science Foundation of China for artificial intelligence research, and is the top design of the country in strengthening the scientific and technological innovation system. Since 2017, it has successfully held two sessions. As the only high-end competition of underwater robots in the real offshore environment in the world, it combines the scientific research results with the marine pasture industry organically and opens up an innovative application in the field of artificial intelligence in China.
The URPC 2019 grabbing competition mainly includes two events: man-machine cooperative grabbing and autonomous grabbing. The two events focused on the ability of robots to accurately manipulate, perceive and capture in open sea areas and complex sea conditions. On the one hand, it evaluates and inspects the grasping performance of the robot, on the other hand, it provides a basis for the performance test of the underwater vehicle, and provides a theoretical basis and evaluation basis for the development and continuous improvement of the underwater vehicle industry in China.
The 2019 competition is divided into two stages, the preliminary contest is held in Jinshitan, Dalian, and the final contest is held in the open sea area of Zhangzi Island.

Registration from May 1 to July 1, 2019

Project Primary Election from July 10 to July 15, 2019
Qualifications from 22 August to 23 August, 2019
Final from August 24 to August 25, 2019
3. Award setting:
(1) Man-machine cooperative grasping group: first, second and third prizes shall be established. Among them,
One first prize, 30,000 yuan;
Two second-class prizes, 20,000 yuan per prize;
Three third prizes, 6,000 yuan per prize.
(2) Independent Grabbing Group: First, Second and Third Prizes shall be established. Among them,
One first prize with a prize of 40,000 yuan;
Two second-class prizes, 25,000 yuan per prize;
Three third prizes, 8,000 yuan per prize.
(3) To set up a single award of 0-3 for outstanding teams, with a bonus of 10,000 yuan.
